Challenge: Custom Candle Packaging

Clios Candles who produce luxurious coconut and beeswax blend candles, approached us with a straightforward enquiry to design a protective box that matched the elegance of their product. The packaging needed to:

• Provide reliable protection for their glass jar candles during shipping and display.
• Be developed and sampled quickly.
• Offer clear, accurate placement for branding elements.

Solution

We responded with a bespoke packaging solution that combined efficiency, protection, and presentation, bringing their concept to life in a matter of days.

Structural Design for Candle Protection

Working from simple dimensions (90 x 90 x 100 mm), we engineered a reverse tuck end box with a secure webbed closure, made from high-quality folding box board. This structure gave the packaging strength without compromising on visual appeal.

Inside the box, we incorporated a custom fluted insert, to cradle the candle jar securely. This ensured minimal movement during transport and created a consistent, elevated unboxing experience.

Rapid Prototyping Without Tooling

By leveraging digital cutting technology, we eliminated the need for expensive tooling and traditional dies. This allowed us to deliver a fully printed prototype, ready for review and refinement, in just a few days.

Even with a basic artwork file, we produced a branded sample that gave Clios Candles a clear preview of logo positioning, font scale, and overall visual impact.

Premium Finish, Practical Approach

The result was a stylish and protective package that balanced form and function. The uncoated finish gave the box a tactile, natural feel, perfectly complementing the brand’s artisanal ethos.
